Casual Jobs Galore

Been taking couple of casual jobs while staying in Perth. From invigilating Cambridge ESOL exams, goodies bag packing for the University's orientation week, soon to be mentoring freshers, and temporary residents adviser.

Funny enough, invigilating makes me feel like I wanna be taking the exams instead of being the invigilator. It was super boring being the invigilator especially when your fellow invigilators are mostly in your parents or grandparents age and the worst thing, you can only whisper occasionally in the whole two hours. I'm glad that my colleagues are nice still, seeing them playing sudoku, reading newspaper, writing CV?? while on the job is erm.... an interesting sight.

Goodies bag packing is so much more fun. Yakking with students mostly couple of years younger than me is kinda refreshing. Wait... they don't see me as an old geezer like how I did in my invigilating job, do they? Hmm... sh*t...

Temporary resident adviser (TRA) is the worst and most ill informed casual job I've ever taken here in Perth. The only thing that they informed me is to lock-up after dinner time, fire emergencies and lock-out problems without telling me which door/gate to lock. I would have to ask around to know. So fine... I know which door to lock now but the keys given to me does not even turn the lock... that's just great. How the @#$% did the RA before me magically locks the door? Nevermind that. Next thing is, someone got lock-out as his key expired. So here I am, walking to the office trying to reprogram the key and guess what? The office alarm rang... just great... so this is how a burglar feels like huh? Why the @#$% didn't anyone told me about the alarm?? Ok... so finally get the keys settled with the vice-principal, now I can have a little peace of mind. This will make me think twice about becoming a RA next time around.

Hopefully the mentoring would be a more enjoyable experience.

Ok... back to sleep people!! Everybody Zzzzzz...

With nothing much to do......

When you have too many things in hand, you'll start to do 'wu liao' things. For me, it was mostly spent on reading i.e. Pride and Prejudice... man, that novel is deep. Every dialogs is filled with sacarsms, puns and hidden meanings of the old days that I need to practically struggle through the book to understand what are they talking about. The book was interesting but with just a little bit too much deep analogues that I'm too lazy to use my brain at the moment to appreciate them.

Other than catching up with some movies, all I did was drawing stuff. Mainly finished that bloody drawing of Brass Monkey that I've put off since two years ago.

Sure took me forever to complete that drawing... due to procrastination and lots of procrastination and lots of assignments, lots of exams, and of course lots and lots of procrastination. Oh, did I said that I procrastinate a lot? Oh, never mind...

The next thing in line is... House MD. Don't ask me why suddenly feel like drawing House. I do watched House and kinda like it but do not mistaken me as a big fan. Still I drew his miserable character... I actually drew a picture of his whole crew but decided to just post his picture (edited with Paint.. muawahahaha) as the rests look dreadful, probably because I feel miserable after drawing House first.

Then, pada suatu hari, I was playing with my new camera that comes with black and white function, which giving me another 'wu liao' idea (on using random Lungers pictures) and decided to put it into action. The results is well... I would say as interesting.

P.S. And yes, I know my picture is different.... so if any of you Lungers do not like your photos, send me your paling prettiest/handsomest picture to me so that I can waste more of my time making a new compilation.

Ok... now I shall continue to sleep before the next 'wu liao' mission. Zzzzzzzzz
